Butterfly Valley
Butterfly Valley (in Greek “Petaloúdes”), where every year, at the end of the wet season (late May), thousands of butterflies attracted by the scent of the Oriental Sweetgum trees cover the entire landscape.

Apart from this unique nature reserve's aesthetic value, it is also the site of the only natural forest of "Liquidambar orientalis" (Oriental Sweetgum trees) in Europe, and a resting point for the "Jersey tiger" (Panaxia Quadripunctaria), a nocturnal moth. An excellent place for families with children who wish to enjoy the beauty of nature and examine the life cycle of butterflies as part of their summer holiday.

LINDOS: a magnificent acropolis on a imposing rock
On the top of the same rock stands a centuries-old acropolis, proudly overlooking the archipelagos. The acropolis bears silent witness to Lindos’ glorious past, a major naval power of ancient times which reputedly had a population of 17,000.

The view of Lindos village with its cubic houses sprawling down the hillside under the acropolis is one of the most photographed scenes in Greece. The whitewashed labyrinth of little alleyways was deliberately designed to confuse pirates; today this layout makes wandering around the town a real adventure!

According to tradition the temple of Athena on the Acropolis was founded by Danaus, who came to the island with his 50 daughters to escape the rage of the goddess Hera. Follow the same ancient path that the ancient Rhodians took. When you reach the acropolis you will see a 280 BC relief of a Rhodian Trireme (ancient Greek warship) carved into the rock, an indication of the naval power of ancient Rhodes.

RHODES New Town and Medieval Town
On our way to Rhodes we will stop on the view point Monte Smith with its breathtaking view over the North–West coast of Rhodes, where you also will visit the Acropolis ruins of Rhodes and the ancient Diagoras Stadium.

Once we arrived to Rhodes, you can have a free time in new town with its smart restaurants, bars and shops or take a leisurely walk with our guide around the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its medieval buildings, imposing churches and traditional tavernas.

After that a visit to Mandraki Harbor and the Lighthouse of Rhodes with the two Dears where Colossus, one of the seven miracles of the ancient world, used to stand.

His driving is safe and courteous and we had a really positive experience. Cannot recommend this company and George highly enough..... 5*+

We had already had a very positive experience with this company on our day trip boat ride to Symi.... an excellent, well organised & pleasant time, on a picturesque island. George was our driver to & from our apartment, and after chatting with him for a few minutes, it was obvious that he was a polite, very knowledgeable man who spoke excellent English. We discussed our plans for the coming days and mentioned the Bee Museum. George suggested that a tour with him would be cheaper than a taxi to the location. He also suggested that we may take in some wine tasting and an olive oil producer too. We were keen to go to the Bee Museum but not keen on wine tasting - and so we ended up with a personal ‘custom tour’ with George as our driver and guide. We visited the Bee Museum which was excellent, then we went to a pottery producer -again excellent, then onto an olive and olive products outlet, also excellent. We then went off the tourist trail to a small village where we had a leisurely break with our first experience of Greek coffee, served with a lump of Quince jelly/jam as a sweetener. At all times George gave us his full attention, gave polite and informative narrative to the various sites we saw, and we had a fantastic trip. He was a careful attentive driver and took us through some lovely Rhodean countryside. We highly recommend this company, and George, as a great way to get a really easy going enjoyable touring experience, and with the added bonus of good value for money.
