Winery in Rodos follows a tradition of 2,400 years! A story from those early days tells how the Cretans, jealous of Rodos' fame for high quality wine, copied Rodian amphorae in an attempt to pass off their own wine as Rodian.

On this tour you will taste different wine varieties, extra-virgin olive oil from ancient olive trees (yes, you read it right - sample the same oil that our ancestors used centuries ago), and local natural honey infused with thyme, pine, orange blossom and different spring flowers.

Before wine, olive oil and honey tasting you will have free time at Butterfly Valley (in Greek “Petaloúdes”), where every year, at the end of the wet season (late May), thousands of butterflies attracted by the scent of the Oriental Sweetgum trees cover the entire landscape.

Apart from this unique nature reserve's aesthetic value, it is also the site of the only natural forest of "Liquidambar orientalis" (Oriental Sweetgum trees) in Europe, and a resting point for the "Jersey tiger" (Panaxia Quadripunctaria), a nocturnal moth. An excellent place for families with children who wish to enjoy the beauties of nature and examine the life cycle of butterflies as part of their summer holiday.

Check-in: If you do not need a transfer, and you are coming to the harbor by yourself - you have to come for a check-in from 09:30 until 09:45 am to our meeting point at Gallias str. 6 (inside "Half Price Tours" office, next to Benetton shop, at Mandraki Harbor). Click here to check the meeting point on Google Maps.

Payment: You do not need a credit card to book this tour. Once you will make a booking online, you will get a booking confirmation/voucher to your email. You will pay all the amount for the tour, on the tour day.

Cancelation: You can cancel the tour one week before the tour date. In order to cancel the tour, please send us an email to info@tourtlee.com.

Tour conditions: This tour is combined as a bus tour and a walking tour. The food and entrance fees to the museums and Butterfly Valley (extra 5 euros) is not included in price. Wine tasting is included in the price.

Children and infants: Children up to 12 years - 40% discount. Infants up to 5 years old - for free, must sit on the lap.

Bus transfer to the meeting point is not included in the price. You can come to the meeting point by yourself, or we can pick you up for extra cost - from 5€ to 20€ per person (both ways) depending on the distance from the meeting point to your hotel:
- Bus transfer from: Rhodes city, Ixia, Iallisos, Kremasti, Faliraki, Kalithea, Koskinou, Kremasti is extra 7€ per person (hotel-meeting point-hotel).
- Bus transfer from South: Lindos, Pefkos, Kalathos, Gennadi, Kiotari, Kolymbia, Archangelos, Afandou, Lardos is extra 20€ per person (hotel-meeting point-hotel).

We Booked the wine tasting tour followed by the Segway tour of the Old town during our stay in Rhodes and loved every minute of it. Andrej took us on both tours, he was brilliant, very attentive and had so much information to share with us about the area and the history of Rhodes. The Wine tasting tour took us to Butterfly Valley, a quiet vineyard, a pottery shop, a local wine makers, the largest winery in Rhodes followed by a stop at a bee/honey museum. The next morning we were taken on a fun tour on a Segway ( easier than it looks!) around the town, where we saw all of the main sights in and around the port and the Old town. We can 100% recommend this tour and company to anyone staying in Rhodes!

We were picked up early from Lindos and taken to Rhodes for an extra 20e where as taxis were 65e. We then met the tour and had a fantastic day with fantastic and knowledgeable staff. We had an extra visit to a monastery and bee museum. Staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our day. The butterflies were amazing and the second wine tasting stop gave us more than a generous share of wine. Fantastic company.

I recommend them for your vacations in Rhodes Great value for money tours in Rhodes. Very well organised tours with pick up in front of your hotel on time. Very knowledgeable and helpful personnel. I booked Day cruise to Symi with swimming stops in Saint George Beach, Wine tasting tour and Lindos by bus. All of them great and I recommend them for your vacations in Rhodes.

As it was the start of season we were the only ones on the trip so we pretty much had our own private tour! Our guide picked us up from our hotel; we then went to see pottery being made, olive tasting, valley of the butterflies, wine tasting and finally honey tasting. The tour was absolutely beautiful and the guide was amazing full of knowledge of the area. I would say it's a must do if you want to experience the culture and learn about the history!
