We were picked up from our resort and driven across the island to Rhodes port. Our host gave us a lot of great tips, along the way, about what to see and do in Rhodes. We told him that we wanted to see dolphins from the boat, and he warned us not to get our hopes up. On the boat there's a choice of seats, the best being up on the top deck under a cover for shade. Board early though if you want to get a seat on the top deck. The swimming was amazing. The crew handed out snorkels and noodle floats, and you could enter via steps or brave jumpong in from the gangway. There were lots of fish and the setting was beautiful. There was a shower on board and several toilets. We then travelled to Symi town for lunch and shopping. On the journey back, our wish came true and we saw dolphins swimming just off the Turkish coast. They were a fair distance away, and travelling fast in the opposite direction, but leapt out 3 or 4 times. When we arrived back in port and met with again with the guide from Half Price Tours for our lift back home, he couldn't believe that we actually saw some. It was an amazing day. Thank you!
Perfect! We love with my girl this boat . went to the beach for swimming was very beautiful and after to symi island . I want to. Come back again !!!!
10 out of 10! We chose our initial trip through a rep on Rhodes Harbour. It was $20 euros each for a boat trip to Symi Island, also stopping at St Georges Bay for snorkelling. I was a little uncertain as I have only ever booked trips through TUI etc, however we decided to go with them and we are so glad we did. From start to finish it was amazing. They picked us up from our hotel $10 pp, definitely worth the money. The driver was friendly, on time and very knowledgeable. We then picked up the boat to Symi. The trip was out of this world, St Georges Bay was stunning as was Symi. We would definitely recommend the tour and company to anyone. Worth every penny, so much so we booked a second trip with our driver on the way back to hotel. We ended up going on another boat trip to Lindos with snorkelling stops at Anthony Quinn Bay and Afandou Beach. Again the transfer to and from the hotel was smooth and the trip was excellent.
A must do when in Rhodes! We went on the boat trip to Lindos and to Symi Island and although we preferred the later, we’d definitely recommend both. Symi had one swimming stop and the boat gave you floats, life jackets and snorkelling masks. The island is beautiful and we had a lovely meal at Dolphin Pizza which was also quite cheap. Both the bay and the island are very picturesque and there’s lots of shopping on the island (but the shops are quite expensive). The boat ride itself was mainly surrounded by mountains but was slightly less time than the boat ride to Lindos. Lindos had a swimming stop on the way there and the way back. On this boat, you aren’t offered floats or snorkelling masks. The boat journey goes along the coast so is very picturesque and you see different and very beautiful coastlines. The trip to the Acropolis is a must and the views are amazing. However, the ascent is steep and it gets very hot. The beach here is beautiful. We upgraded our trip to include pick up from a hotel and this was ideal. Buses aren’t always reliable and the coach which picked up arrived promptly and had air con.
